Extreme Focus
Extreme Focus is a talent …
A strength begins with a talent.
A talent is a recurring pattern of behavior and it naturally exists within you. It is rough, innate, and directly connected with your achievements. Why? Because your talents empower you, they make it possible for you to be your best, to conquer, to learn, to perform at your highest potential just like the olympic athletes.
The Tokyo Olympics just ended and we witnessed again the best of the best performances, athletes breaking world records that we thought were already amazing. Why? Because these athletes are using their innate talents and develop them into their strengths.
A strength is the ability to provide consistent, near-perfect performance in a given activity. Think about diving, over and over again. Strengths are produced when talents are refined by knowledge and skills - we acquired them over time, we practice them, we perfect them.
Top achievers recognize their talents and build on them to develop strengths. In doing that, they experience increased confidence, optimism, and focus, the perfect combination for a top performance.
Building your strengths is a lifelong journey to greater and greater performance, to personal satisfaction.
An example of a strength is to be an achiever, someone who is goal-focused, who sets clear objectives and finds roles that challenge and reward hard work, someone who seeks incentives for quality and productivity.
