Career Change
Career change is a process that takes time. People arrive at career change looking to find a better alignment of work-family, moving from full-time to part-time, looking for something to do after retirement, or feeling that there must be '“something else, something more out there.”
Career coaching is future-focused and can assist you in making an informed choice to be able to answer the question, “What should I do?” Envisioning and validating options are important components of this self-inquiry process.
If you could do anything…what would it be?
What skills do you use consistently and enjoy?
What do you do well? What do other people say you do well?
Take a break from job searching. Ignore the job titles and think about your mission.
What kind of companies or organizations do you admire? Why?
With what kind of boss and colleagues would you like to work?
Finding your motivators and aligning them with your desired job will increase your job satisfaction and long term engagement. Take the time to learn about your options.
Change never ends; we continue to search for new opportunities, but it leads you to experiences you have never thought possible, and that can be extremely enriching. The best career is one that makes you happiest, and you get to decide your preferred working environment, favorite fields, and rewards. Are you ready for a change?
