Creative people perceive the part of reality they are sensitive to, they think about and develop a vision - an alternative reality. They like to experiment and make changes, is a journey where they discover and create new processes, techniques, formulas, services or products.

Sometimes creative minds have a hard time finding an environment where they feel they fit in, they tend to hide their differences or to try to change themselves.

“An artist is not a special kind of person.

Every person is a special kind of artist.”

~ Meister Eckhart

Creatives perceive, they take in information through their senses, they are more sensitive, reactive. They are also intuitive, they pick up on problems and find solutions, they can see beyond, they can see the possibilities, their thinking occurs in leaps.

Creatives are not content with old forms, they are constantly searching to improve the world. The creative process tries to reorganize the elements that don’t fit. Creative people can be critical, challenging, independent because they are agents of change. Behind every creation there is a need to communicate an idea and the feelings.

Creatives are able to observe, select, analyze, evaluate and synthesize but they are also able to come up with many possible solutions. In their creative pursuit, they value freedom, autonomy. They prefer unstructured work environments with opportunities for self-expression.

When choosing an occupation as a creative, think about what kind of ideas or people or things you are attracted to. You can work in art history, or with young adults, or with extra large exhibits. Always keep in mind the kind of work you want to do since job titles, the way we label work, changes.
